Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL-A Tanker Driver to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As a Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting raw milk from farm to processing plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT, DFA Commercial Motor Vehicle, and safety policies
  • Drive over a variety of streets, highways, and rural access roads
  • Take quality control samples at farms, measure the milk loaded into trailers, and minimize truck idle times and conserve fuel consumption
  • Perform strenuous work involving lifting, connecting hoses, disconnecting hoses, and ladder climbing to access the top of tank trailers and farm tanks
  • Hook and unhook trucks and trailers, and maintain positive communications with producers, customers, and employees

Requirements:

  • Must have a Class A CDL and a tanker endorsement
  • Must meet MVR requirements, DOT requirements, and pre-employment background requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to work independently and read/write English and basic math skills
