Job Overview

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Position: Transportation Specialist.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

Compensation: Up to $25/hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to all operational processes, including but not limited to: timekeeping, attendance, vehicle safety, cleanliness, and compliance with safety regulations and policies.

• Safely and efficiently transport specimens, supplies, reports, and materials to designated locations.

• Operate company vehicles responsibly while maintaining a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

• Begin each route equipped with necessary tools and equipment, including route scanners, logs, and temperature-controlled storage.

• Follow scheduled routes while accommodating special pickups and will-call stops.

• Maintain the integrity of specimens during transport, ensuring proper handling and temperature control.

• Adhere to all scanning and documentation protocols, including tracking of sensitive materials.

• Place notifications for clients regarding specimen pickups and communicate any service issues to supervisors.

• Keep route details and client information updated.

• Attend meetings and training sessions punctually.

• Fulfill training requirements in a timely manner.

• Care for and maintain company equipment, reporting any issues promptly.

• Provide feedback on client satisfaction to management.

• Maintain a professional demeanor and a service-oriented approach with clients, embodying the principles of Everyday Excellence.

• Demonstrate commitment to the core values of agility, customer focus, transparency, teamwork, and performance orientation.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience and a clean motor vehicle record, free of more than three moving violations in the past 36 months.
