Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Nurse to join our team at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse RN in the Emergency Department ED plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care to emergent and critical patients. As a member of our team, you will engage in didactic learning sessions to enhance your understanding of Emergency Department ED nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively.
  • Pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute InPatient setting is mandatory.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Emergency Room ER or Acute InPatient nursing.

  • 36 hours per week, Day Shift. Rotating weekends and holidays are required.
  • Experience Nurses with one (1) or more years of expertise receive additional hourly specialty pay, enhancing the base pay compensation.
