Job Summary

Craftsmen Contractors is seeking a skilled Steel Fabrication Specialist to join our team at a manufacturing facility in Minden, LA. This temporary to permanent position requires face-to-face interviews, passing a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screen.

The work schedule includes shifts of 6am-4:30pm, 6:30am-5pm, or 7am-5:30pm, with every other Saturday worked. The pay range is $22-$30.80 per hour, depending on experience and performance on the weld test.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld steel structures, telecommunications shelters, skids, and other products according to specifications.
  • Read blueprints for specifications and execute tasks accordingly.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required by supervisors.
Requirements
  • Previous welding experience is mandatory.
  • Pass a 1G and 3G x-rayed weld test using MIG with flux core wire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic math skills and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
