Job Summary:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This individual will be competent to care for patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations, dependent on the area assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform duties and responsibilities as a Respiratory Therapist, including respiratory care and pulmonary therapy.
- Provide competent care for patients with a range of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Administer respiratory medications and therapies, including oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the state of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
