Job Summary

Inovar New England, a leading supplier of labeling products, is seeking a skilled Flexographic Press Operator to join their team. As a key member of the production team, the successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and efficiently running a Flexo Press to produce high-quality labels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mount and remount plates as needed.
  • Mix inks as required.
  • Complete start-up checklists for all jobs run.
  • Setup and operate the press for production.
  • Record stock usage.
  • Use a strobe and/or video web monitor for in-process inspection.
  • Flag defective labels for rewind/inspection.
  • Use a spectrophotometer and densitometer as required.
  • Tag finished product for traceability.
  • Complete required paperwork upon job completion.
  • Communicate with the opposite shift on any job or press-related concerns.
  • Perform press clean up and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Ability to assist in basic press maintenance.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Team player.

Experience/Education:

  • 1-3 years' experience with flexographic printing.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Pass color perception test.
  • Ability to read a ruler.
  • Basic math skills with calculator.
