We are seeking a skilled RN Medical Unit Nurse to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our medical unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our nursing team to create a comprehensive plan of care.
Key Responsibilities- Implement physician orders and administer medications as required
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
