Host and Greeter

The Meet and Greet position at The Hollywood Tavern is a vital role that sets the tone for our guests' dining experience. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every guest feels valued and cared for.

• Guest Welcome and Seating: Greet guests promptly and warmly, making eye contact and offering a smile. Escort guests to their tables, presenting their seats and handing out menus.
• Communication and Service: Communicate effectively with guests, taking orders and delivering plates, silverware, and water glasses to the table. Inform guests of the server's name and indicate that the server will visit the table shortly.
• Wait List Management: Maintain and manage the wait list as needed, ensuring that guests are kept informed of their wait time and offered refreshments or other amenities.
• Phone and Takeout Orders: Answer phones within three rings, taking takeout orders and following them through to pick-up.
• Housekeeping and Maintenance: Check bathrooms regularly to ensure they are clean and stocked. Light candles for the dinner service and ensure they remain lit until the last guest leaves. Keep the reception desk clean, organized, and stocked.
• Teamwork and Adaptability: Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment, read and follow written procedures, and learn and perform in a multi-task environment.

• Age and Availability: Must be 16 years of age or older. Available to work shifts at varying hours as the need arises.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively work with guests and take care of their needs.
• Physical Demands: Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Repetitive hand and wrist motion. May require working outdoors in various temperatures.
