Contract Physical Therapist Needed for Summer Session
Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our dynamic school-based healthcare team during the upcoming summer session. You will play a vital role in providing exceptional physical therapy services to students with diverse needs, collaborating closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine each student's unique physical therapy requirements and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver direct physical therapy interventions tailored to students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to enhance motor skills, balance, coordination, strength, and mobility.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and school staff to seamlessly integrate therapy goals within the educational environment.
- Meticulously track student progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their individual needs and achievements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and other essential paperwork in accordance with established protocols.
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing valuable insights to shape students' IEPs and ensure a holistic approach to their care.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress, recommendations, and home-based exercises to support continued development.
- Stay abreast of the latest research, trends, and best practices in school-based physical therapy to deliver the highest quality of care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Prior experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IDEA regulations and the special education process is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and contribute positively to a supportive school setting.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize student needs.
