Grocery Associate

The Center Store/Grocery Associate is responsible for maintaining the presentation and inventory of the grocery aisles, ensuring that shelves are fully stocked and organized, and providing excellent customer service.

• Product Management: Unload deliveries and stock shelves with products, ensuring items are placed in the correct locations.
• Inventory Control: Rotate products according to the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to minimize waste.
• Stock Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels and inform the Grocery Manager of low stock or out-of-stock items.
• Inventory Counts: Perform regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
• Display Maintenance: Maintain attractive and organized product displays and endcaps to enhance the shopping experience.
• Signage and Labeling: Set up promotional displays and signage according to store guidelines.
• Product Labeling: Ensure all products are properly labeled with prices and expiration dates.
• Cleanliness: Keep aisles, shelves, and displays clean, neat, and free of clutter.
• Customer Service: Greet customers and assist them in locating products and answering their questions.
• Product Recommendations: Provide recommendations and product information to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Customer Complaints: Handle customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, escalating to the Grocery Manager when necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other store associates and departments to ensure efficient store operations.
• Training and Support: Assist with training new associates as required and support other store areas during peak times or as directed by the Grocery Manager.
• Adherence to Policies: Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including those related to safety, sanitation, and health standards.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a grocery or retail environment is a plus.
• Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
