Job Summary

The United Stars Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Hobbing and Shaper Operator to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC Hobbers and manual Shapers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Setup and Operation: Set up, edit, and operate CNC Hobbers and manual Shapers to manufacture parts according to plant specifications.
  2. Quality Control: Inspect completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
  3. Maintenance: Clean the work area, remove tooling, fixturing, and return inspection equipment to their proper areas.
  4. Minor Machine Maintenance: Perform minor machine maintenance tasks, such as greasing and oiling.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Measuring Instruments: Must be proficient in using hand measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, height gages, and optical comparators.
  • Blueprint Reading: Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings.
  • Programming Experience: Ability to operate, adjust offsets, and edit programs, including Fanuc controls, G code, and M code programming.
  • Mathematical Skills: Requires mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as metric conversions.
  • Communication Skills: Must possess good oral and written communication skills to interact with employees.

  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, set aggressive goals, and achieve them.
  • Overtime: Must be open to working overtime as necessary.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this position include standing, sitting, talking, listening, and using hands to finger, handle, or touch. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The incumbent will occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
