Job Summary

Foster Farms is seeking a highly skilled Feed Mill Manager to oversee the operations of our feed mill, ensuring the production and delivery of high-quality feed in an efficient and economical manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Feed Mill Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the feed mill, including training, teaching, and coaching of team members to ensure consistent implementation of best practices.
  • Production and Delivery: Ensure the production and delivery of feed in the most efficient and economical manner, meeting the needs of our customers.
  • Financial Management: Prepare, submit, and administer a control budget to contribute to the profitability of the company.
  • Human Resources: Oversee matters pertaining to mill personnel, including policies, procedures, hiring, safety awareness, training, and employee development.
  • Quality Control: Implement and ensure compliance with disease prevention and product quality control programs.
  • Process Improvement: Investigate and plan for new methods that would reduce costs in relation to equipment, energy, and manpower.
Requirements
  • Education: BS/BA Degree in Business Management, Ag Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience and proven leadership skills.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of accounting principles, strong technical/mechanical abilities, good problem-solving skills, and proficiency in PC software, including Excel and Word.
