QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• At least 10 years of experience in the aviation industry is essential.

• Minimum of 5 years in a quality assurance or inspection capacity, ideally within an MRO setting.

• Familiarity with FAR 145 regulations is required.

• AS9110 or ISO equivalent experience is highly preferred.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.

• Strong command of the English language is required.

• An Airframe and Powerplant License or the ability to obtain a repairman's certificate with the organization is essential.

• Successful completion of a thorough background check is required.

• This role is safety-sensitive and complies with DOT drug and alcohol regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and guide all personnel involved in inspection, nondestructive testing, and metrology departments, ensuring that all inspections are conducted accurately on completed work before customer release, with proper documentation maintained.

• Keep an updated repository of relevant FAA specifications and Airworthiness Directives, ensuring that all technical data is current and approved for all units overhauled, modified, or repaired.

• Guarantee the appropriate handling and preservation of all units or components throughout the repair process.

• Provide necessary manuals, service bulletins, and technical data to relevant teams.

• Ensure adequate resources, equipment, and skilled personnel are available for quality operations.

• Maintain organized records of work orders and inspection forms for efficient retrieval.

• Establish and refine inspection standards, methods, and procedures to align with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.

• Prevent the installation of defective or unapproved parts in any released components.

• Develop and update repair station policies and procedures related to inspection requirements, with the Quality Director responsible for all manual revisions.

• Ensure compliance with shift turnover procedures and maintain proficiency among inspection staff.

• Supervise and train receiving inspectors as needed.

• Maintain records of inspection tool calibrations and ensure adherence to established check periods.

• Conduct thorough inspections at various stages of the repair process.

• Ensure proper identification and handling of rejected and unserviceable parts.

• Keep the 'Roster of Supervisory and Inspection Personnel' and 'Delegation of Authority Roster' updated.

• Control and inspect materials subject to shelf-life, ensuring timely removal from service when necessary.

• Identify and categorize all stock and tools as serviceable or unserviceable.
