Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Virginia Jobs. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our educational programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing quality educational programs that enable incarcerated adults to become responsible, productive, tax-paying members of their communities.
  • Provide diagnostic and standardized educational testing services to incarcerated adults in a test center region of multiple facilities to determine/assess eligibility for educational programs, assist with educational program planning, and determine eligibility for academic credentials, e.g., the GED.
  • Design and facilitate trainings/workshops to staff and utilize strong data analytic skills to evaluate program effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • Related work experience in adult education assessments and evaluation, which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the responsibilities required.
  • Certified to administer TABE, CRC, CASAS, and GED.
  • Teacher's license or eligibility.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Skills in the use of software applications for reporting, i.e., MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Ability to administer, score, and interpret results of educational tests.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of general standardized testing procedures.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with an array of academic diagnostic tests, e.g., Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), Official Practice Test (OPT) of the GED, General Education Development (GED) test, WorkKeys for the Career Readiness Certificate (CRC).
  • Skills in the extensive use of IT applications for computer-based testing.
