Occupational Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Medicine Physician to join our team at the Department of Defense. As an Occupational Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive Occupational Health Programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Conduct research and provide expert guidance on occupational hazards, including toxic substances and workplace injuries.
- Perform occupational physical examinations, including pre-placement, periodic medical surveillance, and fitness for duty evaluations.
- Coordinate with facility and community resources to provide comprehensive work-related care to employees.
- Develop and train medical staff on occupational health procedures and protocols.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited medical school.
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Board certification in Occupational Medicine or ability to obtain certification within six months of employment.
- At least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, such as a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training.
This position requires a high level of physical and mental stamina, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will be required to wear Personnel Protective Equipment and may be required to work uncommon tours of duty hours, including on-call, rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
