Main Responsibilities

As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of new technologies and products. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement new subsystems, ensuring they meet the required standards for serviceability, reliability, and human factors.

Key Accountabilities
  • Conduct complex design control, evaluation, and testing to ensure the technical solution meets the required standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological, business, and scientific developments in the field to identify suitable solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams to define and implement solutions, taking into account environmental factors such as cost and regulations.
  • Promote the growth of technical expertise within the team through mentoring and targeted training.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is created and maintained.
  • Transfer knowledge to other functions within the company to support product launch.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in new product development.
  • Proficiency in Mechanical CAD (Solidworks preferred), PLM systems (Windchill preferred), and Design for Manufacturability.
  • Experience creating detailed engineering drawings per ANSI/ASME standards.
  • Direct experience applying GD&T to engineering drawings, with applicable tolerance analysis.
  • Ability to engineer parts using common manufacturing methods and materials.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering design principles and hands-on design competency.
