Job Title: Process Engineer - Direct Air Capture Specialist

Join Occidental Petroleum Corporation as a Process Engineer - Direct Air Capture Specialist and play a vital role in the development and implementation of Direct Air Capture (DAC) facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for process development, implementation, and optimization of DAC facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the development and implementation of DAC process design, including process safety analysis and management of change.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of DAC facilities with existing operations.
  • Develop and maintain process guidelines, operating procedures, and best practices for DAC facilities.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to operations and maintenance teams to enhance their technical capabilities.
  • Interface with vendors and subcontractors to provide timely advice and answers to technical inquiries.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, major project engineering, construction, and commissioning.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with a strong desire to deliver superior results and a proven track record of success.
