Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team at Hana Technologies & Systems. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce access control measures to permit entry only to authorized individuals, packages, and vehicles
  • Operate walk-through and hand-held metal detectors, as well as x-ray machines, to screen individuals and items
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections
  • Identify and address security threats according to established protocols
  • Prevent, detect, and apprehend individuals attempting unauthorized access or violating laws
  • Execute emergency closure procedures and provide security assistance during crises
  • Conduct roving guard services and perimeter/interior patrols to identify security breaches and unsafe conditions
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to facility employees and visitors
  • Operate in the Security Operations Center (SOC) as the central command, control, and communication hub for the facility
  • Monitor and operate various security systems, including intrusion detection, surveillance, and access control systems
  • Assist with Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card enrollment, issuance, and programming
  • Perform emergency responses, including CPR, AED, and first aid, as needed
  • Maintain accurate reports, records, and logs
  • Utilize weapons when necessary, following established guidelines
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of armed security experience within the past five years OR
  • Minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience in full-duty status with a full-service police department within the US, with a good standing resignation or retirement OR
  • Minimum of 2 years of honorable service as a member of any US Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve service
Qualifications
  • Minimum age requirement: 21 years
  • US citizenship or lawful permanent residency for current members of the U.S. Armed Services or individuals with an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Military
  • Must be able to obtain the applicable background clearance
  • Must possess valid NCPPSB license
  • Proficiency with firearms
  • Ability to obtain favorable verification through the E-Verify system
  • Fluent in spoken, written, and comprehended English
  • Possession of a current State-issued Driver's License
  • Ability to handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented and safety-conscious
  • High level of ethics and integrity
Working Environment

Candidates must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Work extended shifts and overtime when necessary
