Role Description:

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely transporting materials and products throughout the sawmill using forklifts and other equipment. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday-Friday, offering opportunities for career advancement and recognition of your hard work.

Main Tasks:
  • Safely load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Organize and stack materials in designated areas to maintain a clean and orderly yard.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on the forklift to keep it in good working order.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts, with specific experience on heavy-duty forklifts, preferably in a sawmill or industrial setting. You should also have a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate placement and secure handling of materials, as well as good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
