We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team as a Thread Lead. This is a critical role that requires a strong technical background and leadership skills to lead a team of engineers in the development of complex systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of engineers in the development of system capabilities, ensuring that technical requirements are met and that the system is delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including program leadership, customers, and other technical teams.
- Partner with the program's SEIT leadership and Office of Chief Engineering (OCE) to ensure that technical baselines are developed with high quality.
- Brief program leadership, customers, and stakeholders on system capabilities at both program and technical reviews.
- Establish an effective system of working group / coordination sessions with stakeholders across the development community to ensure effective horizontal and vertical thread integration.
- Develop and maintain system performance documentation, including requirements definition and allocation, architecture and interface definitions, functional flows and CONOPS scenarios, performance / allocation budgets, analysis, and margin management, trade studies, verification planning, verification and validation execution, solution definition / design artifacts, integration and test planning and procedure development, risk and opportunity identification and associated execution planning, and technical performance measure (TPM) reporting and management.
- Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 14 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; 12 years with a masters degree; or 9 years with a PhD.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Experience in team environment with leadership responsibilities.
- Experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation.
- ICBM experience.
- Large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production.
- Experience with implementing and using model-based systems engineering tools, practices, and methods.
