Join our team at SR COMPANIES LLC as a Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents and their families.
Job Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to our residents. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for attending to the daily living needs of our residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry. You will also be expected to promote a dignified and caring atmosphere, communicate effectively with residents and their families, and respond promptly to their needs.
Responsibilities:- Assist with Daily Living Activities: Provide assistance with dressing, grooming, peri-care, toileting, and hygiene to our residents.
- Interact with Residents: Engage with residents at all levels of care, showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.
- Report Changes: Observe and report any changes in a resident's health and emotional well-being to the supervisor.
- Meal Service: Serve and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
- Leisure Activities: Participate in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.
- General Duties: Perform daily general housekeeping duties following established cleaning schedules.
- Communication: Communicate effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding.
- Sign-Out Procedure: Ensure residents and/or responsible parties sign residents out when they leave the community.
- Safety: Maintain a safe and secure working environment, free from hazards that could cause harm to residents, families, visitors, and associates.
- Teamwork: Work as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments.
- Attendance: Comply with attendance and call-off policy.
- Training: Participate in trainings, in-service, and mandatory meetings.
- Dress Code: Wear clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy.
- Confidentiality: Refrain from discussing resident care issues with families, visitors, and refer all inquiries to the immediate supervisor.
- HIPAA: Know, understand, and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Mentorship: Assist with training and mentoring new employees.
- Special Projects: Take the initiative in work, seek out additional information, offer solutions, and suggestions, and willingly take on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties.

Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
