- 3-7 years of expertise in geotechnical transportation, specifically in roadway bridge design
- Proficient in geotechnical design methodologies

Core Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to deliver engineering and consulting solutions for a diverse range of rural and urban transportation initiatives across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. The role encompasses:
- Conducting and leading geotechnical and pavement-focused field assessments
- Performing engineering analyses, design calculations, and formulating recommendations
- Preparing comprehensive reports on the services rendered
- Monitoring project timelines and financials
- Investigating and resolving design and construction challenges while providing effective solutions
- Communicating complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Essential Duties:
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards for all assignments
- Engage in pre-task planning and report safety concerns to management
- Uphold quality benchmarks on all projects
- Manage and execute small to medium-scale projects, including more intricate assignments
- Define project scopes for routine tasks
- Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and other essential project documentation
- Analyze data and perform necessary engineering calculations
- Oversee field investigations, laboratory tests, and the evaluation of results to develop actionable recommendations
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work
- Collaborate closely with senior project managers to enhance project management and engineering expertise
- Make informed design recommendations and modifications
- Draft work scopes, proposals, and reports for senior-level review on routine projects
- Act as a technical mentor to junior project team members
- Supervise field personnel, including graduate engineers, technicians, and support staff
- Engage with clients and project teams to define service scopes and communicate project updates
- Operate under the guidance of an Authorized Project Reviewer
