Position Overview

We are in search of a proactive and skilled Tax Manager to become an integral part of our finance team. This role is vital for overseeing our tax operations and ensuring adherence to all tax regulations. The ideal candidate will take charge of our tax planning and compliance efforts, focusing on enhancing the company’s financial outcomes. This role presents a unique chance to refine your leadership abilities and significantly influence our financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and review the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual filings.
2. Perform in-depth tax planning and research to maximize tax efficiency and ensure compliance.
3. Formulate and execute strategic tax planning initiatives for all relevant federal and state taxes.
4. Collaborate with accounting teams to guarantee precise and timely financial reporting and tax compliance.
5. Manage audits conducted by tax authorities and provide assistance during tax-related litigation.
6. Ensure that the company’s tax policies align with current laws and regulations.
7. Advise management on the implications of new legislation on tax obligations and potential tax planning strategies.
8. Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications:

1. Must possess an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
3. At least 5 years of experience in a tax management or public accounting role.
4. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
5. Proven experience in various tax operations with a focus on process enhancements.
6. Strong ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
8. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
10. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
