Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Generate precise and detailed cost estimates by analyzing project blueprints, specifications, and scope. Employ advanced estimating software to compile comprehensive assessments of labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
- Design Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of design documents and preliminary plans to identify potential scope gaps and value alternatives, ensuring accurate pricing and addressing escalation concerns.
- Budget Development: Assist in formulating initial budgetary guidelines for clients, utilizing historical data to create square footage budgets.
- Project Documentation Review: Perform in-depth reviews of contracts and drawings to uncover potential cost impacts and risks, providing actionable insights to mitigate financial exposure.
- Supplier Coordination: Solicit and assess quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project specifications and budgetary limits.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a mutual understanding of project requirements and financial implications.

Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in electrical estimation, with a proven track record of managing complex projects valued at $5 million or more.
- Education: High school diploma is required; additional qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or Finance are advantageous.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., McCormick) and Microsoft Office, along with a strong grasp of cost estimation methodologies and construction practices.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical capabilities with a detail-oriented approach, including the ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines.
