Position Overview
Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC is seeking a qualified Autonomous Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to deliver mental health services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing virtual psychiatric care to children and adolescents, as well as performing primary care evaluations as necessary across various clinics.

Qualifications:

  • Valid, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia with a focus on Psychiatric/Mental Health
  • Autonomous Practice certification from the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
  • Must have and maintain prescriptive authority in Virginia
  • BLS certification
  • DEA License
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in community mental health, particularly with individuals facing serious mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, substance use issues, and co-occurring disorders.
Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultation to agency personnel regarding clinical and medical services.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of psychiatric conditions.
  • Monitor client responses to treatment, including potential medication side effects and adverse reactions.
  • Document treatment responses; initiate orders for diagnostic tests, medications, and other therapeutic interventions.
  • Complete prior authorizations and necessary documentation as required.
  • Ensure timely completion of medical records in compliance with state ACT Model, DMAS, and CSB policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Offer guidance and support for Primary Care Screening and Monitoring initiatives.
