Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the Music Computer Lab at Saint Xavier University. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the lab, maintaining a library-type atmosphere, checking students in and out, and keeping track of lab materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor the Music Computer lab and maintain a library-type atmosphere
- Check students in and out of the facility
- Keep track of lab materials being used
- Maintain printer as needed
- Assist students in finding materials
- Collaborate with Music Department Assistant and Music Admission Coordinator as necessary

Requirements

- Must be a student at Saint Xavier University
- Federal Work Study required

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with Google Docs/Sheets
- Ability to set and maintain a regular weekly routine of checking and watering pianos
- Physical ability to move chairs/music stands/amplifiers, and organize physical sheet music in coordination with entries in the digital instrumental library

Work Schedule

This position requires a flexible schedule, with between 6-8 hours of work per week. Daily monitoring of pianos should take about 30 minutes each day, and monitoring of computer lab traffic should take 7 hours per day. Concert weekends may require extra time as needed.
