This is a locum tenens family medicine position, requiring a skilled physician to provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Manage chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
- Provide preventative care services, including immunizations and health education.
- Perform minor procedures, such as skin biopsies and wound care.
- Collaborate with specialists when needed.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
- Stay current on the latest advancements in family medicine.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training program in family medicine accredited by the ACGME or AOA.
- Board certification in family medicine by the ABFM or AOA.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in California.
- At least one year of experience working in a primary care setting.
