Job Description

Truckee Meadows Community College is seeking a qualified Part-Time Faculty member to teach courses in biology for the Department of Biology and Public Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including General Biology for Nonmajors, Introduction to Cell and Molecular Biology, and Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II.

Responsibilities
  • Teach biology courses to students at the Dandini campus
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
  • Stay current in the field of biology and incorporate new developments into teaching
  • Provide support and guidance to students outside of class
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and improve teaching practices
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Biology or a closely related field from an accredited institution
  • Experience teaching biology courses at the college level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse academic environment
