Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, prepare, and examine cellular specimens from various body sites to detect evidence of malignancy and other pathologic conditions.
  • Meet CLIA criteria for Cytotechnologist and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work collaboratively with other laboratory professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies to improve efficiency and quality of results.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Cytotechnology.
  • At least two years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Current Certified Cytotechnologist (CT) issued by American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
  • Cytotechnologist license (CLM) issued by California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
