Paper Mill Utility Worker

Adecco US, Inc. is seeking a skilled Paper Mill Utility Worker to join our team in Rockingham, NC. As a Paper Mill Utility Worker, you will be responsible for performing general duties and contributing to the success of our paper mill operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take verbal and written instructions from company managers and maintenance officers.
• Physically inspect, communicate, and troubleshoot quality of product and customer/order specifications.
• Retrieve order specs, documentation, and order data to/from our systems.
• Operate/maintain to assigned productivity standards.
• Follow job specific procedures during paper machine shut down; ability to assist in orderly start up and/or shut down paper machine.
• Cut and/or set cores.
• Assist with paper machine operations.
• Process rolls to customer specifications.
• Move material to and around paper mill and stock prep area.
• Ensure the safe handling and storage of equipment.
• Ensure that utility projects have been completed and signed off.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a utility worker.
• Ability to read and interpret written work orders.
• Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
• Ability to work in cold/hot/wet environment.
• Ability to work a 12 hour swing/rotating shift.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay for this position is $16.50/hr. plus overtime as needed. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity. Adecco US, Inc. provides one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the industry to contract workers. Benefits are available to you as a contractor after one week of employment.
