About the PositionThis locum tenens CRNA role is designed to provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative pain management. The ideal candidate will possess clinical expertise and technical proficiency in administering various anesthesia techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery
- Collaborating with surgeons, surgical teams, and other healthcare providers
- Monitoring patient vital signs and adjusting anesthetic plans as needed
- Responding to emergencies and providing critical care interventions
- Maintaining accurate and complete medical records
The successful candidate will be required to have a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program, as well as active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) licensure in Alaska and national certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting is preferred.
