Speech-Language Pathologist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide expert speech and language therapy services to students in Salem, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess students' speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to address specific communication challenges.
  • Deliver high-quality therapy services in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support and track student progress.
  • Keep detailed records of therapy sessions and student outcomes, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional input and recommendations.
  • Stay informed about current best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current license in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Virginia Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility for this credential).
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
