Care for Patients in a Fast-Paced Medical Surgical Department
Citizens Memorial Hospital is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for our patients in our Medical Surgical department. This is a dynamic and well-rounded department that provides care for both medical and surgical patients. Our Med/Surg unit is equipped to care for patients receiving orthopedic surgeries, as well as those undergoing gynecological, urological, and abdominal procedures. Medical patients present with a variety of illnesses, including sepsis, UTIs, pneumonia, wound care, COPD, and CHF. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:6 with a tech to assist.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients and administer medications
- Work closely with our providers to generate a plan for the day and for discharge
- Admit and discharge patients as the shift progresses
- Work with a great team of nursing staff and providers
