In this role, you will perform intricate interventional diagnostic procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing various injuries and diseases.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
  • Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • Possession of a valid West Virginia State license is required.
EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of twelve (12) months of experience in coronary intervention is required specifically for the Cardiac Cath department.


CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and explain procedures to patients.
  • Conduct all examinations relevant to the specialty area.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety measures are followed for all patients as per established guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procedures in the specialty area to effectively perform assigned tasks.
  • Assist physicians during specialized examinations.
  • Keep accurate records of equipment service needs.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork related to patient examinations.
  • Be aware of environmental factors and infection control issues, ensuring a safe environment for patient care.
  • Engage in self-assessment and develop a professional growth plan aligned with personal and unit goals.
  • Contribute to the education and supervision of new staff, ancillary personnel, and students in collaboration with the preceptor and management.
  • Participate in selected committees to share information and engage in problem-solving initiatives.
  • Enhance personal knowledge and skills by attending educational activities.
  • Assist in identifying issues for investigation, collecting data for research projects, and applying current concepts to enhance patient care.
