**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Specialist to join our team at Salem Hospital, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for performing all core job responsibilities in the Sterile Processing Department. This includes receiving, sorting and decontamination of surgical/clinic items and instrumentation; inspection and packaging of single instruments and instrument kits; identification of appropriate sterilization method and cycle selection, appropriate documentation for all sterile processes; and accurate inventory assignment relating to the case cart build process.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of direct experience performing all Sterile Processing functions within an operative setting. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and CRCST or CBSPD certification is also necessary.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Perform all core job responsibilities in the Sterile Processing Department
  • Receive, sort, and decontaminate surgical/clinic items and instrumentation
  • Inspect and package single instruments and instrument kits
  • Identify appropriate sterilization method and cycle selection
  • Achieve accurate inventory assignment for case cart build process

**Requirements:**

  • At least three years direct experience in Sterile Processing
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CRCST or CBSPD certification
  • Excellent organization, operations, people management, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and exposure to instrument tracking software

**Salary:** $62,000 - $72,000 per year, depending on experience
