Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electric Power Systems Specialist to join our team at PG&E Corporation. As a key member of our Maintenance Crew, you will be responsible for building and maintaining electric power systems, restoring electric service to customers, and ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to various job locations within a designated region to perform maintenance and repair work on electric power systems.
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and supplies into and out of vehicles at crew headquarters and job sites.
  • Perform substation switching, install and replace switches, circuit protection equipment, insulators, meters, and streetlights.
  • Hang and energize transformers, take voltage readings, and troubleshoot problems with primary and secondary overhead or underground dead legs.
  • Work in confined spaces, climb poles, and use hand and power tools to perform tasks.
Requirements
  • Completion of a federal or state-sanctioned line worker apprenticeship with approved supporting documentation.
  • Valid California Class A driving permit and a California DMV medical exam.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds, work in all types of weather and road conditions, and travel to various locations.
  • Ability to wear company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
