This includes assisting those seeking a GED credential or preparing for college readiness exams.
This part-time position requires an experienced GED instructor to teach adult learners at the County Correctional Facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background and excellent teaching skills.
Job Duties:- Develop and implement instructional plans to prepare adult learners for the GED exam in reading, writing, math computation, applied math, science, and social studies.
- Maintain compliance with all aspects of adult education regulations and guidelines.
- Provide educational support services to incarcerated adults at the correctional facility, focusing on literacy and math skills through high school equivalency/college readiness levels.
- Create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles, abilities, and needs of adult learners.
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and behavior while promoting accountability and goal achievement.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field.
- Successful completion of required background checks and clearances.
- Teaching experience, preferably in 9-12 grade settings.
- Experience coaching and instructing adult learners.
- Valid Driver's License and use of personal vehicle with appropriate insurance.
