Job Summary

Tact Staff is seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing mammographic procedures on inpatients and outpatients, ensuring high-quality images and accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammographic procedures with a high standard of accuracy in positioning and technical factors.
  • Review each prescription, history questionnaire, and patient record prior to the examination to ensure all pertinent information is available for radiologist interpretation.
  • Practice universal precautions and aseptic technique to prevent cross contamination.
  • Monitor and resolve exceptions lists daily.
  • Properly utilize the Breast reporting system (PenRad), EMR, and PACS systems.
  • Analyze each acquired image for proper positioning, markers, date stickers, and patient identification.
  • Repeat image if presence of any factors that may deter from its diagnostic value.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mammography.
  • Able to perform screening and diagnostic mammography at a minimum.
  • Preferred skills: ability to perform DEXA and biopsy procedures.
