Mine Geology Internship

Northern Star (Pogo) LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Mine Geology Intern. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.

The Mine Geology Intern will assist the Geology Manager with operational and in-mine diamond drilling requirements. This includes supporting drill core processing, logging, and sampling, as well as inter-departmental exposure to data capture and processing.

• Assist with diamond drilling support activities, including drill core processing, logging, and sampling
• Gain knowledge in safe work practices within our operation using the stoping extraction method in a narrow vein underground environment
• Develop technical skills using AcQuire database, Vulcan software, and total station survey tool
• Participate in production geology workflow involved with an operating underground mine
• Contribute to project work assigned by the Geology Manager

• Progressing towards a Geology/Geotechnical Degree from a recognized program
• Extensive Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft programs
• Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Excellent data analysis skills
• Positive attitude and commitment to the team's success
• Display a clear commitment to safety, health, and responsible environmental management
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas
• Current Driver's License
