The State of Maryland is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist Clinical Administrator to provide clinical psychiatric services to patients who are mentally ill, chronically ill, or developmentally disabled. This is a supervisory level position that requires strong leadership and administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical psychiatric services to patients in a 24/7 facility or headquarters office
- Supervise lower-level MDH Psychiatrists or Physicians, and other health care support staff
- Develop and implement clinical programs and services to meet the needs of patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in 24/7 on-call psychiatric coverage on a monthly basis
- Determined by the Maryland State Board of Physicians under the licensing requirements for Physicians
- As required for certification in Psychiatry by the American Medical Association Specialty Board or other Board approved by the Maryland Board of Physicians
- Board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Medical Specialties, or other Board approved by the Maryland Board of Physicians
- Licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law
