Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language pathology services to patients in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and skilled nursing facilities.
  • Assess and diagnose patients with communication and swallowing disorders, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve their functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists.
  • Conduct evaluations, assessments, and treatment sessions, documenting patient progress and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and evidence-based treatments, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology, as required by state or national regulations.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferably in a travel or per-diem setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and healthcare teams.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a range of communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
