Job Title: Medical Assistant Certified

About the Role:

The Medical Assistant Certified plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and service by performing various clerical and patient-related tasks. Key responsibilities include assisting the provider, taking patient vital signs, managing rooming and patient flow, pre-visit preparation, and post-visit duties.

Compensation: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet patients promptly and prepare them for exams to maintain efficient patient flow.
  2. Record accurate patient vital signs and medical history as required by department protocols or guidelines.
  3. Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
  4. Assist with procedures and minor emergencies within the scope of practice.
  5. Schedule lab tests, x-rays, and other necessary procedures as instructed by the provider.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, relay important information to the provider, and provide follow-up as delegated.
  7. Maintain clean and organized exam rooms, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
  8. Pursue active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification and complete additional training as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Accredited Medical Assisting program graduate or enrolled in an externship program.
  • Active Medical Assistant Interim (IC) or Medical Assistant - Certified (CM) license through the Washington State Department of Health.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting.
  • Basic computer skills.
