Resident Care Nurse LPN Job Summary

Mayfair Village Retirement Center is seeking a skilled LPN Resident Care Nurse to provide high-quality care to our residents. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional assisted living services, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee medication programs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in medication assistance records and medication passes.
  • Perform treatments according to physician orders, taking blood pressure, pulse, blood sugar, and other vital signs as needed.
  • Chart relevant information about residents, updating and informing physicians of any changes in their condition.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Order and reorder medications for residents from assigned pharmacies as needed.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and other requests from residents, providing timely support and care.
  • Provide report to staff for next shift, ensuring seamless communication and continuity of care.
  • Assist the Resident Care Director with supervisory responsibilities, training, and counseling of the resident care team.
  • Assist with scheduling department hours, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
  • Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from an accredited program.
  • Must maintain an active LPN license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year experience in senior services preferred.
  • Must have CPR certification upon hire, or obtain during orientation, and maintain current certification during employment.
  • Must have current First Aid certification (if required by State).
