Job Overview

Hubbell is seeking a Production Assistant to support our operations teams in our world-class manufacturing facility in Iron Mountain, MI. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

A Day In The Life
  • Read and interpret wire diagrams, notes, and QC-18s to ensure accurate production
  • Create label and engraving deliverables for production, including ordering materials and maintaining inventory
  • Maintain label and engraving equipment, perform light maintenance, and replace consumables
  • Update the EE map, EE board map, and production board daily, prioritizing tasks accordingly
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve diagram discrepancies and work with production to optimize label and engraving deliverables
  • Assist in creating instruction manuals, preparing CDs, updating network programs, and managing manual inventory
  • Attend and host meetings to maintain current methods and standards
  • Support other tasks as needed to drive improvements and production support
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in panel wire is a plus, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and typing abilities
  • Effective time management, multitasking, and computer skills, including MS Office and data entry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Quick problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
