At Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, we are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading global manufacturer of engineered high-performance polymer products.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide leadership to the assigned plant location(s) and/or multi-product operations, servicing Saint-Gobain's High Performance Solutions business sectors - Life Sciences, Composites, & Mobility, and/or Process Systems business units. The role involves ensuring federal and local legislative compliance, developing and maintaining ISO systems, promoting an autonomous EHS culture, and defining Health and Wellness programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain site-specific EHS policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with corporate values and industry standards.
  • Provide training to supervisors, employees, and contractors on EHS-related subjects and promote a behavior-based safety program.
  • Oversee investigations and reporting of incidents, including near-miss, first-aid, and accidents involving injuries and/or property damage.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, OSHA requirements, and industry standards for hazardous waste disposal, toxic risk management, and environmental impact assessment.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have a strong background in environmental health and safety, with experience in managing EHS programs, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions. You should also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
