Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Technician I to join our team at LGC Biosearch Technologies. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing excellent support to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Maintenance and Repair: Respond promptly to facility tickets to resolve issues with repairs and maintenance of our facilities.
  • Ticket Closure: Ensure that facility tickets are closed out to the satisfaction of the requestor.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and supervise various facilities-related projects as needed.
  • Contractor Management: Coordinate the activities of contractors as directed by the Facilities Lead.
  • Service Level Monitoring: Monitor the performance of service contractors to agreed service levels.
  • Logistics and Technical Support: Provide logistics and technical support to facilities, instrumentation, and laboratory staff when appropriate.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Communicate with stakeholders on project progress and delivery.
  • Cleaning and Security Coordination: Coordinate the activities of cleaning contractors and onsite security contractors.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Be available to work outside of normal business hours if needed.
  • EH&S Compliance: Ensure that facilities meet EH&S requirements and comply with legal requirements.
  • Local Presence: Live locally to respond to facility alarms or emergencies.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Independence and Motivation: Be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as with others.
  • Positive Attitude: Demonstrate a positive can-do attitude.
