Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant

GRX Holdings, LLC is a dynamic and family-oriented group of independent pharmacies seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to work at our Medicap Pharmacy in Indianola.

We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician to process and fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist in accordance with state and federal regulations.

• Assist the pharmacist with technical functions in the pharmacy, including measuring, counting, labeling, record keeping, and communicating with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by handling each customer in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner.
• Process prescriptions electronically and verify all information is complete and accurate.
• Resolve issues when they arise, such as rejected insurance claims.
• Sort, stock, label medication, and monitor inventory.
• Undertake administrative tasks as assigned.

• Proven experience as a pharmacy technician is a plus.
• Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Reliable with a keen eye for detail.

Highly competitive pay rate commensurate with experience. Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred but not required; we will train you. This position is listed as a "Certified Pharmacy Technician," however, we encourage applications from both certified candidates and those who do not have Pharmacy Technician experience. Please note that compensation for non-certified technician candidates will be considered based on experience and training. On-site attendance is required for this role. Follow company policies and procedures, including register performance, security issues, and confidentiality. This role requires on-site attendance. Greet customers and answer questions. Receive prescriptions and check their validity. Perform other duties as assigned.
