Overview:

We are in search of a proficient and knowledgeable Systems Administrator to enhance our Information Technology department. The ideal candidate should possess 3 to 5 years of expertise in IT technical support, particularly within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical assistance to users regarding hardware, software, and application challenges.
  • Oversee and sustain AWS servers, ensuring peak performance and security measures are in place.
  • Manage IT helpdesk operations, addressing user inquiries and resolving IT-related concerns.
  • Monitor and diagnose server complications within the AWS ecosystem.
  • Support the deployment and administration of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, KMS, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Create and maintain scripts and programs for AWS management utilizing languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to adopt new technologies and enhance existing systems.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and protocols regarding IT and data security.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support, managing technical issues related to hardware, software, and applications.
  • Demonstrated experience operating in an AWS environment.
  • Strong comprehension and practical experience with AWS services, including:
    • EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud)
    • S3 (Simple Storage Service)
    • RDS (Relational Database Service)
    • KMS (Key Management Service)
    • CloudFormation
    • CloudWatch
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming for AWS (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with IT helpdesk functions and user support.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator).
  • Experience with network configuration and security.
  • Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices.
