Adjunct Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Adjunct Teacher to join our team at the Dallas Independent School District. As an Adjunct Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students in a host teacher's classroom, providing small group instruction, and contributing to the development of formative assessments.

• Co-Teaching: Collaborate with host teachers to deliver instruction, facilitate small group instruction, and implement classroom management systems.
• Small Group Instruction: Design and deliver targeted tier intervention supports to small groups of students, assessing and analyzing student data to inform instruction.
• Formative Assessments & Diagnosing Student Needs: Interpret and report assessment results, develop IEPs, and formally report to stakeholders.
• Classroom Management: Implement classroom management strategies, build positive relationships, and maintain a strong teacher presence.

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum GPA of 2.5
• Demonstrated general knowledge of child growth/development and behavior characteristics
• Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse ethnic groups
• Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to follow verbal and written instructions
• Demonstrated effective communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with children with disabilities
• Demonstrated flexibility to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing world
• Demonstrated willingness to remain current with the latest developments in the profession

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel throughout the district is integral to this job. Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position.
