About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder, a leading provider of transportation and logistics solutions. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, ensuring our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles is in top condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer tools
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Perform facility maintenance duties, including cleaning and organization of the shop
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

  • Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter, four times per year
